Avoiding regular or excessive consumption of alcohol is an easy way to let go of an extra two to five pounds in just weeks. Studies have also linked the consumption of alcohol with the excessive consumption of food. Alcohol consumption creates hunger and compels many drinkers to eat that greasy slice of pizza or hamburger that they normally would not indulge in. Try replacing alcohol with sparkling water, or if you must have that after work cocktail choose a light beer. Brands like Michelob have recently begun marketing beer that contains just 95 calories.
